Sheng is a flat, quadrant astringent dwarf persimmon tree with excellent firm flesh and a very rich nutty sweet flavor different than many kaki varieties. unique shape fruit. Superb cultivar, very cold hardy. Produces consistently. Ripens early, in September-October. New trees can produce fruit in 2-3 years depending on care and climate. The success of new trees is heavily dependent on the care received during and after planting.
