The Pakistan mulberry (Morus macroura), also known as the long mulberry or Shahtoot, is a fast-growing deciduous tree known for its exceptionally long, sweet, and juicy fruits. Native to regions of South and Southeast Asia, including Pakistan, India, and China, this mulberry variety is prized for its high fruit yield and ornamental appeal.
The tree produces elongated, cylindrical berries up to 5 inches long, ripening from red to dark purple with a rich, sweet flavor. Highly valued for both culinary and medicinal uses, the fruit is eaten fresh, dried, or processed into jams and syrups, while also being rich in antioxidants and vitamins. With its lush foliage and adaptability, the Pakistan mulberry is a favored choice for home gardens and orchards.

Watering | Newly planted trees should be watered regularly. This is the most critical step in the establishment of your new trees. Please see the Watering section under "How to plant and grow" in our Learning Center. |
