Rosseyanka is an Russian x American hybrid from Cremea. that drops fruit late, keeping deer coming back for more throughout the season. These grafted persimmons produce a large, nearly seedless fruit with a sweet, slightly tangy flavor similar to Kaki persimmons. Deer will find these trees and bucks will guard them to protect this special food supply. Rosseyanka Persimmon ripens late, and drops its fruit late in October through December, depending on the USDA zone and climate where planted.
Root-stock is -Diospyros virginiana
Rosseyanka persimmons will bear fruit in 2-3 years depending on the care and climate they receive. Cold hardy to USDA plant Zones 5b-8.

Pruning | Most persimmon trees require little pruning, especially once they’re bearing fruits. Pruning is usually restricted to controlling the tree’s size or removing dead, diseased, and damaged branches. Prune any suckers that develop. |
Fertilization | It is not recommended to fertilize trees at the time of planting or young trees. Excessive fertilizing may cause premature fruit drop. Apply a balanced slow release fertilizer after the tree is established and begins to break dormancy in spring. |
Watering | Newly planted trees should be watered regularly. This is the most critical step in the establishment of your new trees. Please see the Watering section under "How to plant and grow" in our Learning Center. |
