Trophy Pear is a wildlife pear that ripens in late fall and holds on the tree until Thanksgiving! Trophy Pears bear small fruit in clusters, creating an ample bounty for wildlife that come across these trees. The fruit is excellent for deer and wildlife and will bring them in throughout the hunting season. The Trophy Pear is grafted and thus self-fertile, though you will see better fruit production with more pollinators.
New trees can produce fruit in 2-3 years depending on care and climate. The success of new trees is heavily dependent on the care received during and after planting.

Pruning | Pear trees should be pruned annually in the winter when they are dormant. See the Pruning section in our Learning Center. |
Fertilization | Do not fertilize at planting. Once the trees are established, fertilize in early spring (Mar-April) as growth begins. Do not fertilize in the fall, which could promote late season tender growth that can be damaged by early frosts. |
Watering | Newly planted trees should be watered regularly. This is the most critical step in the establishment of your new trees. Please see the Watering section under "How to plant and grow" in our Learning Center. |
