The Truly Tiny Banana is a remarkable dwarf banana tree perfectly sized for gardeners who want tropical beauty and homegrown fruit without needing a large yard. Reaching only 2–4 feet tall, this miniature banana variety brings all the lush charm of a full-size plant—broad green leaves, sturdy stems, and vibrant tropical presence—while fitting comfortably on patios, balconies, porches, and container gardens. It’s proof that even the smallest spaces can put down roots and yield something extraordinary.

Despite its size, the Truly Tiny Banana produces delicious, sweet bananas and forms a tidy, ornamental clump that elevates any edible landscape. Ideal for warm climates and wonderfully suited for indoor/outdoor growing, this compact banana thrives in containers and can be brought inside during colder months, letting you cultivate a slice of the tropics no matter where you live. For gardeners looking to expand into unique, specialty fruiting plants, this variety is both high-performance and delightfully manageable.

With its big personality, easy care, and dependable growth, the Truly Tiny Banana is a standout choice for growers who want maximum tropical impact in minimum space.

Fertilization Do not fertilize at planting. Once the trees are established, fertilize in early spring (Mar-April) as growth begins. Do not fertilize in the fall, which could promote late season tender growth that can be damaged by early frosts.
Watering Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, especially during dry periods. Newly planted trees should be watered regularly. This is the most critical step in the establishment of your new trees. Please see the Watering section under "How to plant and grow" in our Learning Center.
