Our favorite! A very low chill (150 hours) hybrid between Pyrus communis and Pyrus pyrifolia. Yellow-green pear has soft flesh and a sweet flavor much like an Asian pear, with a similar texture, not grainy or bitter. Excellent for fresh eating, drying, or pies! High disease resistance. The best Bartlett-style pear for the South. Ripens in July. Zones 8-10. Better with a pollinator. New trees can produce fruit in 2-3 years depending on care and climate. The success of new trees is heavily dependent on the care received during and after planting.

|Pruning||Pear trees should be pruned annually in the winter when they are dormant. Please refer to the Pruning section under "How to plant and grow" in our Learning Center.|
|Fertilization||It is not recommended to fertilize trees at the time of planting or young trees. Excessive fertilizing may cause premature fruit drop. Apply a balanced slow release fertilizer after the tree is established and begins to break dormancy in spring.|
|Watering||Newly planted trees should be watered regularly. This is the most critical step in the establishment of your new trees. Please see the Watering section under "How to plant and grow" in our Learning Center.|
